With the completion of each tile layout, there was a wise saying to read or not before moving on to the next layout. You also get points for the time you have left, so there's still incentive to hurry. If you like the look and feel of Egyptian artifacts, this would be a fine Mahjong game to add to your set. The player could also be offered the option of having usable tiles light-up. A bigger contrast between the color of tops and sides 2. Just like any mahjong it is enjoyable to just play in regular mode but Adventure Mode is the best! They look like they are made out of papyrus or clay.

I miss not being able to relax with this game in evenings. There are some shadows on the lower ends of the piles. If you hope to learn more about the Egyptian dynasties, Mahjng, or artifacts, this is NOT the game for you. This was my first windows based mahjong game and will always be my first love out of all my mahjongs. I would want lighting to be optional, not standard, because even though it would make the Luxor Mahjong easier, it would delete the ancient appearance of the tiles. Of all the games I've purchased, this one provides endless fun and is a real challenge. I think not. I highly recommend it. Overall, the Egyptian designs on the tile sets are refreshingly different from the typical Chinese tile designs, the backgrounds are lovely, there is no real story in the Adventure Mode, and there are enough options to suit the majority of Mahjong players. There's so much time, though, that if you want to clear all the rest of the tiles first before you click on the ankh tiles, you can. You travel across a map. You don't get penalized for using shuffles, but you do get extra points for each one you don't use. I found it a joy to play and the sounds of the scarabs you'll understand once you play the game fun to listen to. I have done this three times, so it isn't just a one time glich. Date published: The shadows on the edges are not pronounced enough, except on the lower end. I've found I use half of what they give you. Just like any mahjong it is enjoyable to just play in regular mode but Adventure Mode is the best! Sometimes you HAVE to use them to get to the tile underneath, lol, but you don't have to match the bonus tile with another one, so that's easy. If I could see the depth of the tile stacks more easily, I would like to give this game FIVE stars because it offers beautiful backgrounds, good layouts and the tiles have an ancient feel. The game is not impossible, and the timer does give you plenty of time. Graphics are great and the power-ups so to speak, are perfect and make it really fun or you can shut them off. Would recommend it to everyone who is looking to unwind at the end of a busy day. You don't get penalized for using shuffles, but you do get extra points for each one you don't use.
