While I do recommend this game, I also offer my usual caveat; play the demo and decide for yourself. Enjoy your stay! I guess I could have counted them on the guide Robin Hood: Country Heroes I did not. However, these are very easy to spot and a hand comes over them anyway, so no chance of missing any. The game also includes a gimmicky gadget called P. The CE version also has 20 hidden Puzzle Pieces that will form 4 different Screensavers when all have been found, Morphing Collectible Business Cards to find as well the usual Achievements to earn. There is a gizmo, P. Short and sweet! Sparkle 2 graphics are good. The map is a very useful and user-friendly tool, as is always the case with games from this developer. I wish the developers would come up with more male heroes. If you decide on the CE version which I did you can play the bonus chapter for another 40 minutes. So, do you get the CE or SE?

The Hidden Object Scenes vary with each one, with Interactive List Finds, Interactive Silhouetted Shape Finds, Listed Items that uncover Fragments, and one of my personal favorites, where you move objects two at a time, to Match 2 of the same items hidden within. I had the difficulty set on custom with the skip and hint set at the quickest times, so I didn't spend a lot of time on the minis. Its quite darkish and grey but I feel that it added ambiance to the game. The creepy atmosphere was brought about by the top-notch production. K to help you. None are too hard or frustrating which would make you want to skip them. Fun puzzles and HOPS. Cue creepy old house exploration with disturbing sound effects and spooky sights. I enjoyed it all and in fact it was just what I needed. Think up something else, Elephant! It is a fun game. Overall, not a bad game. Elephant Games also continues to deliver stellar cutscenes and animations, no disappointment here. That was a bit of a disappointment, but nothing I couldn't live with. If you decide on the CE version which I did you can play the bonus chapter for another 40 minutes. I cant leave out the achievements too. The bonus chapter on had 4 hops. I own every game in this series, including the 3 original Haunted Hotel games that are only available in Standard Editions. One of them was quite tricky which took me a while to do. I believe I have all in this series.

The storyline might not be anything groundbreaking, but the haunting atmosphere captivates us from beginning to end. I preferred the Collector's Edition over this Standard Edition, because of the CE bling, which is why I'm only giving this game 4 stars. The XV Hotel gained a seedy reputation long before it became a Hotel, dating back to , when the entire Valentine family was found viciously slaughtered! By the time James arrives, the entire team has disappeared, and he soon realizes that this Hotel holds many secrets, and even more haunted ghosts. I highly recommend. Just thought that was funny. With 15 editions in this continuing saga, it's remarkable that casual gamers still want more? Overall, not a bad game. Additionally, the suspenseful background music also takes the spooky factor to a whole new level! Can you beat that? I still love this game, but it pales in comparison to the last two games in the series.

There are plenty of scenes to explore and lots to do. The HO sequences and mini-games are sufficiently challenging without requiring too frequent use of the hint or skip buttons. I don't like mini games, but I did attempt them and even completed a few. There are a good variety of mini-games - some of which are slightly harder. So far as mini games went, I didn't see a lot we haven't seen before, but there was variation to them.

  1. Why oh why, oh why did they have to do this to my beloved Haunted Hotel??????? Then I counted 11 places that I had things to do, mostly put in the missing shapes. Enjoy your stay! It is, quite simply, a well-done product. The graphics are good.

  2. There is also an achievements board. At the end of the game, there is a Secret Room where you need to find 4 cameras, 8 EVP recorders, 12 ghosts, 16 skulls, 20 Valentine's Portraits and 8 P. K which is a gadget you use to help you find hidden places. This took me 11 minutes to find them all. Why oh why, oh why did they have to do this to my beloved Haunted Hotel???????

  4. Even enjoyed the HOS's. Overall, not a bad game. The spooky hotel and and eerie surprises keep you guessing on the edge of your seat! It's all grown-ups. Bet you can.

  5. I enjoyed the hidden objects. That was a bit of a disappointment, but nothing I couldn't live with. I was disappointed that after the last 2 incredibly epic storylines, they took a step backwards, with just a run of the mill plot. These are easy to do and each one only takes a few minutes. This variation kept it interesting.

  7. Elephant really needs to create a new feature to replace these stale games with, or else give them an overhaul to make them exciting again. The creepy atmosphere was brought about by the top-notch production. You may also enjoy how the storyline slowly, but strategically, unravels. All in all, it's a low 4-star game: a decent way to spend a creepy afternoon but it could be up way with the 5 star games, if Elephant made just a few tweaks.

  9. This game is one of the easiest for which to write a review that I have played in a long time. However, you arrived at the hotel to find that the crew has gone missing. I was a tad bit disappointed with this 15th edition of one of my favorite series, Haunted Hotel.
