Again, I like that there's an indicator because it saves me staring at the screen for ages looking for something that may not be there. The puzzles are challenging, for the most part, but not too hard I did skip one, out of frustration. Nowadays I play MCF with bare feet, as my socks get blown off. There is a collectible to find in some of the HO's but only if you haven't played that particular scene before. More so a labyrinth with blood? The story line is one I actually cared to follow to the end and the game play was thought provoking and smooth. The only disappointment for me were the HOP scenes. The story line follows local folk story, the graphics are amazing and the music is good but not intrusive. I bought, played, enjoyed and loved most of the Collectors Edition of the game. I love light switches doing nothing, wrestlers, helping a sailor with flags, chestnuts shovelled up with slippers, hungry birds handling worms, grappling chickens. A really good game with a couple of those "Rube Goldberg" type puzzles, although I see they've made these a little easier than in the past. They are well-crafted and are easy to maneuver. Story is kinda stupid. So refreshing to encounter a collectible above cards, puzzle pieces or the like. I do suggest you get the demo because I believe that after playing it you will want to have it. I was pleased to see there are several of the complex MCF multi-layer puzzles in there too. From the beginning you feel like you are at the movies watching about a murder and cast of characters that would be in any small town. Map - the map will always be a deal breaker for me - whilst this one doesn't show you if you have missed a collectible or morphing object, that isn't needed here and it simply shows you where you have something to do. Is it about revenge? The HOP scenes are disappointing. This is the only part of the game I disliked. A lot of attention to details, references to former MCF games, and so much humour! Stuck in 5th gear. Snoopy Marge Hale is indicative of every small-town gossip. The Hidden Object Scenes are Mystefy with different types such as Interactive List finds, Keywords, and Interactive Progressive Silhouetted Shape finds, Some of the scenes are repeated in the same location, which is a feature I really don't like, however, most Revenantz the HOP's have a hidden piece of Alvin's Letter, to collect and eventually read in it's entirity within your journal. Czse half or so of the HOPs consist of only slightly interactive lists, but for each one of those, there's one that's equally imaginative. The story is great, gameplay fantastic. Stuck in 5th gear. The first, the best, and always anxiously awaited. The graphics are realistic and well-portray small-town America. The story, graphics, voice overs and hidden object scenes are very well done. They are easier than in other games from this series. There is a serial killer, the Revenant behind these murders. Poor instructions Te cause the game to be much more tedious and less fun than it should be. Is it too much to ask that the instructions be clearly stated? A little on the Huunt side. It fits the game very Nocturnal: Boston Nightfall, but it's not particularly worth mentioning, but I didn't like it very much. Mostly, the mini games also match the story and bring a change.

  3. Most are a bit easy but on occasion you reach one that makes you think. Big compliments for the cut scenes. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys this genre, and also to beginners who like a good storyline and challenging puzzles.   4. There are several three part puzzles in this game which have very poor instructions for playing them. It's not fair to the other players OR the developers, who work pretty hard on these.   9. HO - could have had a bit more thought put into them. It is divided into 6 chapters, well suited to the story that are very nicely drawn up In "Mystery Case Files: The Revenant's Hunt" there are beautiful mini games - some new and rare or never seen. The story sounds ominous and it is but there are bits of humor tucked away in the game too. Most are a bit easy but on occasion you reach one that makes you think.
