  1. It was clear who the master criminal was. But all in all this game was more focused than previous games in the series. Bravo Vermillion Watch!!

  2. The Victorian-era Paris as portrayed in this game is magnificent. The hub of the game is no longer our old friend Rufus but a French lady named Eleonore who is the Parisian Vermillion Watch - pardon, Garde Rouge - representative. Cut scenes, especially toward the end, are very artistic, as is the theme music.

  3. You will definitely get your money's worth. Good to excellent voice acting with some nearly believable accents. My only complaint would be some of the hidden object items were hard to see as well as some of the items in the cemetery. More than most series, Vermillion Watch does this, but this storyline integrates the hidden objects, music, and mini games as part of solving the mystery almost seamlessly. Story makes sense.

  4. This is definitely not your standard HOPA, it features all kinds of out-of-the-box tasks that are deeply intertwined with the storyline. Vermillion Watch: Parisian Pursuit has a decent length of around four hours and one hour for the equally-amazing bonus chapter. Pros: bang for the buck, this may be one of the best games of the year.

  5. Lots and lots of puzzles, so if that's not your thang, you might want to skip it. The details, the colors, the intricacy — everything is simply glowing. The beautifully-composed musical scores and the well-acted voice-overs help elevate the game to new heights. This is such a nice game, I could easily pull out some more superlatives but I will not.

  6. I will definitely buy this one when it comes out, and I have gotten very picky over HOP games. Not here. This is such a nice game, I could easily pull out some more superlatives but I will not. Cons: that constantly screeching monkey in Chapter 2 may be the single most obnoxious sound I've ever heard in a game. The main people are not all there as before but that is no big deal to me.

  7. The audio side is also spot-on. Always annoys me. Plenty of play organized around a lengthy introduction and three scenes to be investigated as the usual VW pattern.

  8. More than most series, Vermillion Watch does this, but this storyline integrates the hidden objects, music, and mini games as part of solving the mystery almost seamlessly. The issues were not enough to lower the rating. The hidden object scenes are delightfully creative and the mini-games are super fun and come with clear and concise instructions.

  9. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by saleka from What a game. Most of the puzzles are glorious, two in particular reminiscent of MCF and fully worthy. Obviously high production values throughout.
