I loved Collectord original Phantasmat games but as we continue to deal with sequel after sequel in a once popular series the games take a downhill turn and lose Editin original appeal. For a researcher you are probably super focused on your project, but perhaps you should have noticed that something is a bit off with your boatman. That's not sufficient for a bonus chapter; it should be Eddition least an SpongeBob SquarePants Diner Dash. I Dolphin Dice Slots skip the puzzles as I can't be bothered with them; I want to get on with the game but some did get me engaged. A little bit spooky Mummys Treasure a lot of fun. No, it's not like the original Phantasmat. Climax was not very climactic but enough threads were unraveled to make Colllectors satisfying. As always try the demo Date published: No one knows what became of the artifact, but if your suspicions are correct, it may be in the loch that surrounds the castle grounds. Music is appropriately scary. There were some puzzles that were, on average, pretty easy to figure out. HOs are varied, and include morphs and lists.

Just ignore that and consider it on its own. You can go back and find any you missed in Extras. In HO scenes, you can switch to Match-3 instead. Mournful Loch isn't as good as as the last couple of games in the series, but I'm confident this will be a solid game from beginning to end. As always try the demo Only one was aggro. The bonus game carries the story a bit further, but I thought it was a little skimpy on adventure. Illustrations are vivid and plentiful, characters are malevolent, and the setting is well, yeah, mournful. Like some of the other reviewers have said, if you don't try to connect this game with the earlier Phantasmat games, I think you will enjoy it also. Puzzles outweigh HOs, and most are easy to moderate. I think it will end up getting a 5 star rating from most of the reviewers. I beta tested the game, but forgot to write on my paper what I thought of it.

Date published: Rated 4 out of Editioh by Pilot1 from Och aye, it's a guid 'un! Cons: not a lot. I usually don't get too excited about Phantasmat games because they are so dark and Phantxsmat:. Mood matters. Mournvul in all, a quite enjoyable game and one I'll use a token Hidden World get. Date published: I like this one. In all honesty, Phantasmat has never been my favorite series and the latest games in the series have seemed rather dreadful. With only 2 characters in the demo, not much to describe. For the money I would have liked to have a little more game. Phantasmat is my favorite series, and no other game has EVER been able to write a storyline as Phantastic as the original Phantasmat, period.

Oh well, at least the developer tried for some verisimilitude. Mood matters. I thought it was fun. My only criticism would be the lack of map. The bonus game carries the story a bit further, but I thought it was a little skimpy on adventure. Each one was suitably horrifying in a different way. But until I read more reviews from those who have actually played the game, I'll be on the fence with this one. Phantasmat is my favorite series, and no other game has EVER been able to write a storyline as Phantastic as the original Phantasmat, period. Definitely feeling the same loss. The graphics were just right for the style of the game, the switching from HOG to Match 3 was a great idea, the creepiness of the game was perfect. There is one tricky puzzle that I have never seen before and it is truly genius. And the boatman was depicted extremely well, oozing with creepiness. Give it a try, maybe you will like it also. In Mournful Loch you play an archaeology student who has been researching a lost artifact of the Logan family.

HOs are varied, and include morphs and lists. Sounds a bit redundant because it is but that does not detract from the game one bit. Puzzles seem to be the forte for this developer and the ones in this game are excellent. From now on, I'll be playing all games with headphones, and I recommend that you do too. Maybe even an underwater flashlight?? I had a lot of fun playing this game! Since there was a fantastic sale today, I decided to pick up the CE of this game, having been intrigued by the storyline. The Best Game I have Ever played for many reasons! Mournful Loch isn't as good as as the last couple of games in the series, but this is a solid game from beginning to end. There has to be a ray of light somewhere. Mood matters. Wandering around an abandoned, crumbling castle waiting for truly creepy ghosts to appear reminded me a bit of the movie 13 Ghosts. And that's before they actually admit it. I had a few moments when I jumped, so I can give it a spook factor.

The appearance of the three other characters was good, too. I find with myself that I've like games the second time I've tried it, and not like games on the second time I've purchased and played it. The Best Game I have Ever played for many reasons! Plot resolution is a little ambiguous - we've identified the villain but we're not sure what we actually accomplished along the way. Even though I am still not sure this game is for me, I can highly recommend it for those of you who love scary, ghostly tales. The main character is not voiced, which is my preference. So, have downloaded the demo like most of you and feel I'm playing it for the first time. What a great game! The story line was actually interesting for me; the HOS were good. For a researcher you are probably super focused on your project, but perhaps you should have noticed that something is a bit off with your boatman. I wanted the actual story to get going so I could be entertained instead of bored! The music and graphics were great. Wandering around an abandoned, crumbling castle waiting for truly creepy ghosts to appear reminded me a bit of the movie 13 Ghosts. CE or no? I didn't take time to investigate any of the extras being offered, but Phantasmat games are notorious for supplying us with big bundles of fun stuff to collect and achieve.

  1. You're in too deep now however, and someone or something, doesn't want you to find the artifact, in fact, it seems they don't want you to live at all, or are you already dead? The graphics were just right for the style of the game, the switching from HOG to Match 3 was a great idea, the creepiness of the game was perfect. You know the routine by now which I also don't understand the long and lengthy reviews with an exhaustive list. Maybe even an underwater flashlight?? The HO sequences and mini-puzzles are the usual mixed bag but, again, Eipix puts a nice spin on most of them.

  2. Overall, a very solid game with plenty of play and some fun puzzles. Adventure is good, with only a couple times I was unsure where to go next. I have played this game over and over.

  3. I am also enjoying the mini-games and HOS. As always, play the demo and decide for yourself. Phantasmat is extremely popular with so many gamers, I'm thinking maybe this installment is just off to a slow start and will improve as it progresses. The bonus game carries the story a bit further, but I thought it was a little skimpy on adventure. It mostly consisted of HO scenes, which I enjoy.

  4. The others were of average challenge with a little frustration thrown in. For a researcher you are probably super focused on your project, but perhaps you should have noticed that something is a bit off with your boatman. There is no map to transport, you revisit the same scenes over and over with HOS being repeated over and over

  5. Maybe even an underwater flashlight?? He who dares to enter, will surely perish, after all, several have tried and failed to return! Phantasmat is my favorite series, and no other game has EVER been able to write a storyline as Phantastic as the original Phantasmat, period. Recommend this sequel, for sure! As always try the demo

  6. The graphics were kind of disappointing, they were all dark and dismal. Review based on completed game. There is no map to transport, you revisit the same scenes over and over with HOS being repeated over and over
