The story was original and interesting, and I didn't lose track of why I was doing anything, which is my biggest complaint about this type of game. The graphics are beautifully clear. Speaking of inventory items, sometimes what you thought you should be using, you couldn't and when you could use it, it seemed a little farfetched. Since I am one of off people in the house who can play games, really I'm just putting off the inevitable; I bring you The Secrets of Arcelia Island. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!! The Secrets of Arcelia Island is an all-around great game. The art is great - some items are small but easy to see - everything is clear and the actions are logical so they are not too difficult to figure out. It took a bit more thinking not every thing was given to us on a silver platter which I enjoyed. The puzzles were few, but the ones you do encounter are fun and interesting. There is not any voice acting so I had to read the script and journal, which I found contained a wonderful story. I enjoyed this game from start to finish. This game could have been phenomenal with voiceovers, as there was quite a bit of dialogue in the game. I love BF games but have never written a review prior to this. As a result, the game became addictive as I just had to save the day!! I enjoyed this game from start to finish. Now saying that, I did use a hint at the end of the game. The puzzles were few, but the ones you do encounter are fun and interesting. The graphics are beautifully clear. The art is great - some items are small but easy to see - everything is clear and the actions are logical so they are not too difficult to figure out. Even though the graphics aren't perfect and the HOS aren't interactive I like the structure of this game, with a lot of backtracking, collectible notes and no sparkles in advanced mode. This one kept my attention. You don't have your basic puzzles like sliders or string puzzles thank goodness - another refreshing point about this game. Worth the money. I personally think she's just really stressed over final exams, final papers, and realizing she's moving back to Pennsylvania to live with her parents full-time for the first time in years.

Some commented on the back and forth of switching scenes, but that added to the fun. This one kept my attention. Then, you encounter an evil sorceress, who warns you to leave the island or you'll die a horrible death. It wasn't so difficult that hints or cheats were necessary.
